 ABOUT US

YO Solihull is a voluntary organisation set up to support locally rooted VCFSE organisations to work together to maximise opportunities for all children and young people in Solihull.

The voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations of Solihull are providing vital support to its children and young people but can often work in silo with no specific support structure in place.  YO Solihull’s mission is to bring organisations together into one network, to both offer support and enable support to be given and shared, to increase collaboration and partnership working and to reduce competition and duplication of services.  We do this by:

  • Distributing a weekly information bulletin

  • Attend relevant regional and national conferences representing Solihull and feeding back key points to our network

  • Giving and/or enabling individual support to individual organisations when needed

  • Seeking feedback from the voluntary sector on the opportunities and threats we face and the needs of local children and young people

  • Celebrating and promoting the strengths and achievements of the voluntary sector

  • Seeking partnership opportunities with both the statutory sector and the private sector that will benefit children and young people

  • Advocating for and enabling the voices of children and young people to be heard
