About the event
Developed and Delivered in partnership with the Solihull Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) and Barnardo’s, this interactive training explores the impact of trauma on children’s development, behaviour, and relationships—and how organisations can create environments that promote safety, trust, and recovery.
Through evidence-based learning and real-life examples, participants will:
Understand the principles of trauma-informed practice and their relevance within education, health, and community settings.
Explore how early adversity and toxic stress influence emotional regulation, attachment, and behaviour.
Learn practical strategies to build resilience, reduce re-traumatisation, and promote healing-centred approaches.
Reflect on their own practice and develop trauma-aware language, policies, and responses.
